O Saving Victim
O saving Victim, op’ning wide
The gate of heav’n to man below,
Our foes press on from ev’ry side;
Thy strength supply, thine aid bestow.
All praise and thanks to Thee ascend;
for evermore, blest Three in One.
O grant us life that shall not end,
in our true native land with thee.
Amen.
Down in Adoration Falling
Down in adoration falling
this great Sacrament we hail.
Ancient types have long departed ,
Newer rites of grace prevail.
Faith for all defects supplying,
where the feeble senses fail.
Glory let us give and blessing,
To the Father and the Son.
Honour, might and praise addressing
While eternal ages run.
Equal praise to thee confessing
Who proceeds from both as one.
Amen.
V. You have given them bread from heaven.
R. Having in itself all delight.
Let us pray: O God, in this wonderful Sacrament you left us a memorial of your Passion; may we so reverence the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood, that we may always be conscious of the effects of your Redemption within us. You who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.
The Divine Praises:
Blessed be God.
Blessed be his Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus,
Blessed be his most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be his most Precious Blood.
Blessed be Jesus in the holy sacrament of the altar. Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.
Blessed be the great mother of God, Mary most holy.
Blest be her holy and immaculate conception. Blessed be her glorious assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, virgin and mother. Blessed be St Joseph her chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in his Angels and in His Saints.
Amen.
Now praise the Lord, all you nations
Now praise the Lord, all you nations;
acclaim his glory all you peoples. For of His mercy towards us He has given us fresh and mighty proofs. The Lord’s fidelity endures eternally.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall, be World without end. Amen.
Salve Regina
Hail holy Queen, Mother of mercy hail our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray,
Almighty and everlasting God, by the cooperation of the Holy Spirit you prepared the body and soul of Mary, glorious Virgin and Mother to become the worthy habitation of your Son; grant that by her gracious intercession, in whose commemoration we rejoice, we may be delivered from present evils and from everlasting death. Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Regina caeli
Queen of heaven rejoice! alleluia:
for He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia,
Has risen as he said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. Because the Lord is truly risen, alleluia.
Let us pray,
O God who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ;
grant, we beseech you, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his mother,
we may obtain the joys of everlasting life.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.
