Meditation

W H A T   A R E    M E D I T A T I O N S ?

Meditations are guided prayer, led by an Opus Dei priest in the chapel in front of the Blessed Sacrament. The most important part of the meditation is your personal conversation with our Lord, using the priest’s prayer to inspire your own. You may wish to write down a few ideas that strike you to consider later.

The priest will start and finish the meditation with the prayers below.

My Lord and my God, I firmly believe that you are here, that you see me, that you hear me. I adore you with profound reverence. I ask pardon for my sins and the grace to make this time of prayer fruitful. My immaculate Mother, St Joseph my father and lord, my guardian angel, intercede for me.

I thank you my God for the good resolutions, affections and inspirations that you have communicated to me in this time of prayer. I ask your assistance in putting them into effect. My immaculate mother, St Joseph my father and lord, my guardian angel, intercede for me.
